The first question in almost every job interview is:
“Tell me about yourself.”
Most candidates get nervous here —
but today, I’ll show you a simple and professional way to introduce yourself confidently.
2. PURPOSE
This vlog will help you:
- Structure a perfect interview introduction
- Sound confident and professional
- Avoid common mistakes candidates make
3. SCOPE
We will cover:
- Greeting
- Basic details
- Education or experience
- Key strengths
- Why you’re suitable
- Closing line
4. STEP 1: GREETING
Keep it polite and simple:
- “Good morning, sir/ma’am.”
- “Thank you for giving me this opportunity.”
5. STEP 2: NAME + BASIC DETAILS
Example:
“My name is Rohan Sharma. I’m from Delhi.”
Never start with “Myself…” — that’s incorrect.
6. STEP 3: EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
If you’re a fresher:
“I recently completed my B.Com from XYZ College.”
If you have experience:
“I have 2 years of experience in customer service at ABC Company.”
7. STEP 4: SKILLS / STRENGTHS (2–3 points only)
- “I am good at communication.”
- “I have strong problem-solving skills.”
- “I work well in teams.”
Keep it relevant to the job.
8. STEP 5: WHY YOU ARE A GOOD FIT
Example:
“I believe my skills and positive attitude make me a good fit for this role.”
9. STEP 6: CLOSING LINE
“It’s a pleasure to be here, and I’m looking forward to contributing to your company.”
10. COMPLETE SAMPLE INTRODUCTION
“Good morning, sir/ma’am.
My name is Rohan Sharma, and I’m from Delhi.
