If you’re new to public speaking, the biggest question is:
“How do I start writing a speech?”
Today, I’ll give you the simplest speech format for beginners — easy to remember and perfect for school, college, and competitions.
2. PURPOSE
This vlog will help you:
- Learn a clean speech structure
- Speak confidently
- Organize your thoughts clearly
3. SCOPE
We will cover:
- Greeting
- Introduction
- Speech body
- Key message
- Conclusion
- Thank you
4. STEP 1: GREETING THE AUDIENCE
Begin with a respectful greeting:
- “Good morning to everyone present here.”
- “Respected teachers and my dear friends…”
This sets the tone.
5. STEP 2: INTRODUCE YOURSELF + TOPIC
Keep it short:
- “My name is __ and today I’m going to speak on the topic __.”
This tells the audience what to expect.
6. STEP 3: SPEECH BODY (MAIN CONTENT)
Divide your speech into 2–3 simple points:
Example:
Point 1 → Why the topic is important
Point 2 → Real-life example
Point 3 → What we can learn from it
Beginners should keep the body simple and clear.
7. STEP 4: KEY MESSAGE
Tell the audience your main idea in one line:
- “The main message I want to share is …”
This makes your speech memorable.
8. STEP 5: CLOSING LINE
End with a powerful closing sentence:
- “To conclude, I believe that…”
- “In the end, remember that…”
This gives your speech a strong finish.
9. STEP 6: THANK YOU
Always end with:
- “Thank you for listening.”
It shows respect and confidence.
10. CONCLUSION
The best speech format is short, simple, and organized.
Follow this structure, keep your points clear, and you’ll sound confident even as a beginner.
